Membership Donations at White Cloud Zen Center

White Cloud Zen Center is a nonprofit organization that is solely dependent on donations from those who visit the Center. When you donate, you support the Center, the teacher, the practice of others, as well as your own practice.

Suggested Donations:

Per Visit or Per Week                                    $15

Individuals – Regular Membership              $50/month

Couples – Regular Membership                 $75/month

Membership has its benefits. Members receive personal interviews with the teacher, attend regular weekly classes free and receive a 25 percent discount on retreats and other events. To receive the discount, members commit to, at minimum, a half year of membership. Scholarship information available on request.

Regular, monthly membership donations provide the ideal environment for zen practice by covering the following costs:

·  Rent expense: Pocatello, Boise and Idaho Falls

·  Utilities: Electricity, heat and telephone on main floor of building

·  Meditation hall expenses, such as candles, incense, flowers and meditation cushions

·  Office expenses, such as internet connection, computer expenses and office supplies

·  Automobile expenses, such as gasoline, car insurance and car repairs

·  Coffee, tea, cookies, books and dharma magazines

Your donations also support the teacher, Rein Konpo, and his teacher Genpo Roshi in Salt Lake.

There are other ways to support the Center besides donating money. Offering your time, skills and energy are also extremely valuable ways to support White Cloud Zen Center. See Supporting the Center at www.whitecloud.org for more details.

Monetary donations to the Center have the same tax treatment as donations to a 501c3 tax exempt organization and may be tax deductible. See your tax advisor for details.
