Some Suggestions

• Learn zendo procedures.
  

• Learn service positions
  

• Rotate through other positions at the center - Jikido, Ino and Chiden
  

• Prepare a personal oryoki set
  

• Establish a formal teacher-student relationship
  

• Meet with the teacher for private interviews (daisan)
  

• Participate in retreats (sesshin)

• Volunteer at the center

• Manifest an awakened mind at all times possible
